Im addicted to the app. I love learning new words. I give this 4 stars only because I wish I could hear the word before I have to guess & wish it were easier to hear it (the button doesnt always work). Also, sometimes words have multiple meanings and knowing which one theyre going for without context can be difficult, causing me to occasionally miss a word I truly know. But Im loving the app and all it has to offer.

Great app, but after a while of clicking to hear the words it stops working. Which means I have to stop and try again later, really frustrating!

Wish it had been around when I was studying for the GRE!

It repeats words that you missed it didnt know do that you will learn by repeating it in your mind. It doesnt have the pronunciations for all the words. A few types in the example sentences (martial).

I like the Magoosh vocabulary apps, especially the examples used to elaborate the vocabularies. They are addictive and helpful to remember the each and every words.

Some of the definitions are off here. Because you have to choose between only a word or two for the description Im sure, but for someone who is really using this to learn a new vocabulary this needs to be updated and fixed.

This might be q good way to encourage students to spend mire time in vocabulary development than they otherwise might. The option to compete with random users will might entice students who are bored by vocabulary develoent per se. However, the speed aspect of the competition takes away from some if its value for this purpose. it certainly doesnt reward thoughtful attention and rehearsing if the words. An occasional incorrect, though almost correct, definition (decimation defined as completely destroyed, for example) is also a problem that detracts from its usefulness as a tool for test preparation, as some standardized tests obviously use distant synonyms as distractors from a "best" answer. Still, it can be a helpful addition to language development. Excellent, considering it s free Ive seen much worse inaccuracies even in for-purchase apps. It would be even better if instructors could use it to make their own word practice vocab. banks. That might be worth paying for.

Please fix the sound. The pronounce feature doesnt work reliably.

I do like this app. I think with time Ill be actually be able to use the words. But right now I am just able to recognize them with in the app. Good idea, my brain feels exercised!

This app is so helpful. I can study wherever and whenever I want. With enough practice from this app- I feel that one might not even need the book to study for the GRE. This app has all of the resources you need. As a student living on a students budget, I truly appreciate this app being free!

Im currently studying for the GRE and my boyfriend recently took the GRE and he ordered 500 vocab notecards from Amazon to study from. There were notecards laying all over our house all the time it was ridiculous! So I was so thankful when I found this app. It allows me to get the same quality of vocab words with zero hassle.
